Winter Splinter - Atlanta's skate park competition for MTB!

Posted: Jan 9, 2008

It's 2008 and time to get back on that bike!

The Winter Splinter MTB Park competition is back on track and it's going down February 24, 2008 at the Factory Skatepark in Newnan, GA. The Winter Splinter is an indoor jump jam/bike battle type of competition for 24” and 26” wheel bikes. We are adding an additional class this year, which means there will be more winners and more opportunities to take home prizes. There will be an amateur, expert, and pro class, with amateur and expert winners taking home awesome prizes and the pro class will get cash prize payouts.

Amateur class already has guaranteed Black Market prizes totaling $1500 (big thanks to our friend Carter Holland) including a Riot build kit, Riot frame, and many parts!

There will be a practice/warm up session before-hand where you'll get to feel out the course, find new lines, and meet with the other riders, including some pros (Adam Hauck from Black Market for starters).

For more info (pictures from last year, judging, sponsorship, directions, etc.) checkout the website at: http://www.myspace.com/wintersplinter

This event is possible due to the sponsor's support and the hard work and passion of your fellow riders. The hosts and volunteers are receiving no monetary compensation and all entry fees, sponsorship monies and prizes are going back to the riders. If you are a company that would like to support the Winter Splinter please checkout the site above or shoot us an e-mail at wintersplinter08@yahoo.com
